Found a great article today – it is really long but does summarize everything that is important to building high traffic websites (which has to be important to you if you are developing a business strategy that includes a money making website).
The article (albeit, very LONG has a Top 10 list of things to do which I thought were great to share with you. Here is the short of it:
1. Create valuable content.
2. Create original content.
3. Create timeless content.
4. Write for human beings first, computers second.
5. Know why you want a high-traffic site.
6. Let your audience see the real you.
7. Write what is true for you, and learn to live with the consequences.
8. Treat your visitors like real human beings.
9. Keep money in its proper place.
10. If you forget the first nine suggestions, just focus on genuinely helping people, and the rest will take care of itself.
While none of these points go into the nitty gritty “HOW TO” stuff – that you could only get by DOING – it is a great resource. It uncovers the Psychology behind writing good content.
Thank you Steve Pavlina

So – after watching last weeks episode in New York – at the edge of my seat, I was very disappointed to find out that James Davis (the inventor of the Dry Swim Trainer) – still was not on that episode!
(
Great news however – was that it appeared George Foreman got a bit of a talking to before the episode because he had more No’s for contestants than Yes’ (thank the lord). *Don’t get me wrong I loved that he was anxious to support American Inventor’s and show his excitement for their drive and ambition – but what I didn’t like so much was his desire to do so despite what really constituted a “good invention”.
See the American Inventor FAQ’s for more details.
Part 2 of New York is airing this week. So with fingers crossed I do hope to see James there.
Good luck James!

Yet again – another client (I have mentored on behalf of IMC) – receives some great publicity!
Brian Grasso – someone my husband and I have grown to respect dearly not only for his inpecable business and marketing skills and devotion thereof; but also because he is an exceptional Youth Sports / Youth Conditioning Expert (www.iyca.org).
My husband has coached a variety of kids sports (including Football, Basketball, Baseball etc) for years – and Brian consistently delivers exceptional email newsletters on the subject as well as product on the subject. He is nothing short of amazing!
He is a leader – and I feel a big urge today to take pride in the fact that I also have been privileged enough to lead him too (as his Internet Marketing Mentor).
This weeks extra boost of pride for Brian (from me) comes from his most recent article in Newsweek. Apparently it’s a 3 page spread – which I have not yet seen. But – a great snippet of that article can be found here.

Congrats Brian!

Okay – so he was not on last night. He will be on when they show the New York results.
But what an interesting episode! George Foreman said yes to pretty much everyone (softy – ;o)) – and then the ONE person they ALL (except Peter Jones) said yes to was the guy with the Therapy Buddies! Oh Lord – Save us All!
Now…don’t get me wrong – I think therapy buddy is a good idea for confidence challenged kids – but didn’t we have that in Teddy Ruxpin? Wasn’t he a child therapist/motivational speaker in his own right? Or what about Barney – the purple blob of scary dinosaur. With all that “I love you, you love me” stuff. I think we are covered!
PLUS: the Inventor of Therapy Buddy – is actually promoting this as something even adults need. In Peter Jones’ words….”I can guarantee, if you need Therapy Buddy, everything is NOT okay!”
Anyhow – I guess we will see how the rest of the story unfolds.
Next time James!
