Info Product Design

Published by cijaye

With the abyss of information available on the net – and so many people across the globe actively surfing – it’s no wonder that consumers and even staff members have become more diligent about their decisions.

You cannot lose out on productivity or profits because your audiences require more information.

It’s simply time for change…

It’s time for companies like yours to tap into the value of Info Product.

For any business to survive with complex systems, products or services – there is now, more than ever, an obvious and definitive need to enrich the delivery process of said systems/products or services with higher education.  For all other businesses – simply reaching out to those who desire more information is also going to yield exceptional results for your organization.

Whether you are simply educating staff via a comprehensive training program – or creating information rich materials for prospects, customers or technical end users, you must strategize and develop your content in a way that it is guaranteed to meet and exceed your desired targets.

For example:

Maybe you wish to continue delivering a current training program within your company – but need to enrich that training while simultaneously decreasing the amount of time it takes to train someone.  The natural questions would be – Is this possible?  And how do we do it?

It is possible and it can be done – with the expertise of an Instructional Designer. (I’ve done this several times now for multi-million dollar companies).

Instructional Designers can review your current training program, the new information that needs to be added, and consider your new timeline and strategize how to make this happen.

But what if you don’t have a training program – and are now in need of one?  Again, an Instructional Designer can assist you.  With the same process as above:

They can review your current methods of training, the new information that needs to be added, as well as consider your desired delivery timeline and strategize how to make this work.

With the right instructional design theories and instructional design models any company can develop an outstanding and practical training program.  Then when you add Instructional Design and Technology together (via audio, video or in a web environment for example) and you ALSO include the skills of your marketing experts (if your Instructional Designers are not marketing specialists) – - there is absolutely NO LIMIT to how great your materials can be.

With those same Instructional Design skills, you can create educational content for your prospects (online and offline) and carry out your message from behind the scenes directly to the public eye with consistency and pride!  As we say in media: ONE VOICE!

But what if you also need content (such as web pages, white papers, reports, eBooks, audio files, video files or the like) for your end users / customers?  Can the same Instructional Design Principals apply?  Yes. Absolutely. We simply call this Info Product or Info Product Design / Marketing.

There may be some adaptations and even creative design involved for an end user product / program – but the same skill set is required to carry out the project.

A clear set of objectives must be defined, the information available must be gathered, a development strategy must be created and then the project can be completed.

An experienced Instructional Designer / Info Product Designer / Marketer has a technical ability to recognize processes and logic in something as simple as opening a new window on a computer, or accessing the Internet to something as complex as building  or customizing a comprehensive software program.  They can take that information  and create laymen materials (instructional resources) that can capture and instigate the “user experience” through to success.

This mindset is rare and can take years to develop, but so incredibly valuable to your business.

With the right Instructional Designs – you can decrease training expenses and increases profits my thousands, hundreds of thousands or even MILLIONS!

Wouldn’t a decrease in expenses and an increase in profits
be a nice way to do business?
